Random Art Dump Post

It's been a while since I posted; a while longer since I made much changes for the site. And much more longer since I drawn on Clip Studio Paint, my first art program aside from the one program that came with my laptop.

None of these relate to the other but from the increasing length of time, from when and what I have done and will do now... ramblings aside, I am going to try at reset at least two of the things I have listed.

This isn't as much as an update post, as much as a mindless ranting post with some art to go alongside it.

Mostly to spin a spiel about some buried story lore that hasn't left my mind, nor whatever note app I've kept them on to make sure it isn't some sort of fever dream.

And without further ado, I'm going to crank open the flood gates a bit to level off the contents in my head.

Firstly is just a page of random doodles, just to test out my muscle memories on Clip Studio.

It was a bit difficult at first, having used my laptop and a tablet, with this time using an ipad for portability's sake, and it'll make the switch somewhat easier if I decide to change programs.

Without references, just letting muscle and my hazy memory to guide me, I did find myself gravitating to drawing creatures more than people - It's not a bad thing, since I started out on creature and animal art on paper before I just made the shift to people.

And it's a nice bit of nostalgia, even as I have gotten rusty from neglecting them in favor of 3/4 view people profile.

It was fun to draw them, even if the worries of not doing it 'right' lingers from the back of my mind. I knew what they are suppose to look like, and if after a while, I can still recognize them and what their stories are, then that should be all that matters.

I did slowly gravitate towards a theme by the end of it, which segues to the next page.

A little warning that it has a lot of words that would be hard to parse with out zooming in.

From most of the settings I have thought of for my storues, a rural fantasy with just a bit of magic, is one I have had stuck with a long time since the first concrete story I tried to cobble together.

I'm not proud of my skills just yet. Not enough to feel I can do these stories and the characters they centered around justice - I was glad to at least give them a design, an appearance that I can use later on as a reference or a baseline for me to tweak later on.

It was a pain for me to chose to hand write the texts, not that I'd stop. As time consuming as it is. It's fun to relax and writing down whatever came to my mind from looking at the characters, or whatever snippets I can cut out from notes written about them.

Not sure if the texts can be made out properly, but let's say if it is comprehensible, there's a bit of character and worldbuilding lore there for you to have a look at whatever things I have came up with, and a little reference or two in there, one more obvious than the other.

Obviously (to me, sorry), a lot of them relate to The Heir. Either referencing it or came directly from it, like The Fledgling, A'Que. Who is the current iteration of an old character I made and based on the Phoenix.

The character adopted into a modern recreation of The Heir, which in turn is a part of a conglomerated world where I tuck in all of my fantasy adjacent ideas.

Such as the story of a Devotee trying to rid their contract to their Patron Deity. In a world where a human can attain godhood and become glorified human batteries.

The Story of two brothers, one who can receive prophetic dream upon death, and one who can bring lull the spirit of the recently deceased back into their body. Making their way across the land despite their disdain and resentment of the other.

And silly little Dwarven bard who inherited their father's love for the night sky and the moon. Accompanying the future king on his journey in exchange for the promise to, one day, reach the moon.

Who is also a reference to an old minecraft parody song by The Yogscast. (You know if you know.)

And that'll be it for this post. It ain't much, but it's something... I guess.

Thank you for being here, where ever you are and when even you'll be reading this.

I don't know how thing's will turn out until the next time I make a post, or a site update, or whatever that shows some activity in this barren land.

But I hope you will still show up, accidental or not.
